Korea landed on the radar of the IHLC in 2018, both being the hosts of the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang and qualifying for their first World Championship Top Division in history. While finally getting a shot at the IHLC in 2018 (after narrowly missing two previous opportunities), they certainly surprised the hockey world in 2018, and will look to continue to surprise and become a permanent fixture on the international stage.
