The Netherlands women’s squads was one of the inaugural teams to play at the Women’s World Tournament in 1987, losing their only IHLC title game to Canada by a score of 19-1. The Oranje have yet to qualify for the top pool at the World Championships, or an Olympic Games, in women’s hockey.
