🇨🇦 🇫🇮 🇸🇪 🇺🇸 Final Roster Spots Announced For Four Nations Face-Off

The remaining spots for each Four Nations Face-Off roster today were finalized, and the 92 players set to represent Finland, Sweden, Canada and the United States are now set for the tournament in Montréal and Boston that takes place this coming February.

The majority of the announced players were not much of a surprise, as there were no major snubs; however, arguments can be made for each of Finland (Henri Jokiharju, Jesperi Kotkaniemi), Sweden (Mikael Backlund, Hampus Lindholm), Canada (Mathew Barzal, Alexis Lafrenière) or the United States (Clayton Keller, Tage Thompson), especially with all teams tending to skew older, and with players coming off of injury or absences (such as Patrik Laine, J.T. Miller and Jani Hakanpää) being named to the February rosters. Sixteen players who competed at this spring’s World Championships in Czechia are returning to their national teams, with half of those players coming from the Bronze medalists Sweden, with captain Erik Karlsson and alternates Victor Hedman and Lucas Raymond all being named to Tre Kronor.

As was announced previously, all rosters are made up only of NHL players, unlike the 2016 World Cup which featured players from the Russian KHL, Finnish Liiga and Swiss National League A. All but two teams (Washington and Seattle) have at least one player represented in the tournament, with the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers sending the most players with eight, with the 2023 Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights sending the next most (seven), and the 2024 Cup runners-up Edmonton Oilers sending three.

The final lineups for the four participating teams at the 2025 Four Nations Face-Off, with players named to the provisional rosters in June marked with an asterisk, participants at the 2024 World Championships marked with a dagger, withdrawn participants marked with a strikethrough (and their replacements marked with an “R”), and their current team noted in parentheses, are as follows:
