๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฟ Czechia Captures 2024-25 Euro Hockey Tour Title

As a result of Finland‘s loss to Switzerland on day two of the Czech Hockey Games, hosts Czechia officially clinched their fourth Euro Hockey Tour title, by staying five points ahead of the Finns, with just one day of competition left in Brno.

Czechia still clinched the Tour championship even though they lost to Sweden later in the day, as this was only the Narodnitym’s third tour loss since November, with both previous losses coming against Finland at November’s Karjala Tournament and February’s Beijer Hockey Games. Czechia went a perfect 3-0 at December’s Swiss Ice Hockey Games to earn a full twelve points, while two overtime wins for Finland put them out of point range to catch the Czechs.

This marks Czechia’s fourth Tour championship, and first since the truncated 2019-20 tour, stopped short by the COVID-19 pandemic. Czechia will look to carry the momentum of last year’s home-ice World Championship, along with a cadre of incoming NHL stars (including David Pastrลˆรกk, Karel Vejmelka and Filip Hronek), to the 2025 World Championships, who will head to Denmark to open their tournament in Herning on 09 May against Switzerland.
