Taylor Hall was a little put out that his teammates were piling up goals while he was shooting blanks at the World Junior Hockey Championship.

So the Windsor Spitfires phenom, who is expected to go first overall in the NHL draft, took matters into his own soft hands, scoring three times as Canada blitzed Slovakia 8-2 on Tuesday night for its third straight one-sided win of the tournament.

The Regina Pats forward, proud to be wearing the team’s new Saskatchewan green jerseys, scored a goal and set up four others Monday, including three from linemate Brandon McMillan, as Canada downed Switzerland 6-0 for its second straight shutout.

The stocky winger for the Moncton Wildcats tied a team record with seven points, three goals and four assists, as Canada opened the tournament with a 16-0 victory over Latvia on Saturday.
