Goals by Oscar Lindberg and Anton Lander in the shootout gave Sweden a 6-5 victory over Canada at HSBC Arena this afternoon and a bye to the semi-finals.
The result also forces Canada to the quarter-finals which will be played on 02 January in Buffalo. Sweden wonโt play again until the semi-finals on 3 January.

So the Windsor Spitfires phenom, who is expected to go first overall in the NHL draft, took matters into his own soft hands, scoring three times as Canada blitzed Slovakia 8-2 on Tuesday night for its third straight one-sided win of the tournament.
