Sweden retained its International Hockey Lineal Championship in the final game of the 2012 Channel One Cup, with a dominating 4-0 victory over Czechia. Two goals from Marcus Johansson, and tallies from Carl Söderberg and Joel Lundqvist sealed the win for Tre Kronor, and Jhonas Enroth stopped 33 shots for the shutout.

The win means Sweden retains its International Hockey Lineal Championship it won the prior day from Finland, and means it will carry the title to the Oddset Hockey Games in February. Sweden, in its 70th IHLC reign, played the Czechs for the first time over the IHLC since the 2009 Karjala Tournament, where Sweden won 4-3 to capture the IHLC. Sweden will open up the Oddset Hockey Games with the IHLC on home ice against the Czechs on February 7.
