After a fan vote to set the starting lineup, and a media vote to set the second lines, the Kontinental Hockey League today announced the rosters for the 2016 KHL All Star Game in Moscow, Russia on 23 January.

After last season’s spectacle in Sochi, the All Star Game will return to the KHL’s home base in Moscow, where the top players in the league will face off. Despite yet another year of uncertainty, as some teams are sitting out the season amidst speculation of KHL expansion into China, the league will host its seventh All-Star showcase.

From the perspective of the IHLC, there are players from eleven different countries playing in the game, 14 of whom have held the IHLC at least once in their careers. Russia naturally leads the pack with sixteen players, including star players (both professionally and internationally) Ilya Kovalchuk, Alexander Radulov and Sergei Mozyakin.
