What few today remember is that after the game (Game 8 of the Summit Series) the Canadians had to fly to Prague, Czechoslovakia, to play an all-star team in what was an historic return home for Stan Mikita, who had moved to Canada as a young boy in 1948 and made a name for himself as one of the NHLโs great stars. Now, nearly a quarter of a century later, he was coming home.
