The IIHF Women’s World Championship is coming back to upstate New York for the first time in three decades, as the reigning world champion Team USA will host the world’s top women’s players in the 23rd edition of the tournament from 03-14 April, with all games held at the Adirondack Bank Centre in Utica.

Sweden took Canada to overtime in the quarter-finals of the 2023 IIHF Womenโs World Championship, playing a tenacious 60 minutes of regular time and scoring in the final seconds to tie the game. Canada would end up with the win however, with Sarah Nurse scoring in extra time.
